Day Of Caring

On Thursday, May 7th 2009, 5 members of the CSS community relations team participated in the United Way Day of Caring event. The Day of Caring is a one day effort where volunteers through out the local area come together to build a better community, one project, one day at a time. During this day, the CSS associates worked at a local nursing home performing landscaping duties. The residents of the facility were impressed by the beautification efforts enacted on their behalf. The CSS associates took great pride in the work that they achieved. Just another example of CSS giving back to the community in which we live and raise our families.

Professional Retail Store Maintenance Association Elects New Board of Directors

Dallas, Texas, March 18, 2009- The Professional Retail Store Maintenance Association (PRSM), a member-run industry association established to represent individuals and their companies dedicated to advancing industry awareness of retail facilities maintenance, announces their newly elected Board of Directors. Duane Smith, Director of Store and Facilities Maintenance, Limited Brands, Inc. has been elected 2009-2010 President. "I am pleased to serve the retail facilities industry in this key leadership role," Smith said. "With today's economic situation, members need PRSM more than ever to ensure they have the education and information to manage their facilities.  We will continue to help members expand their facilities knowledge through initiatives in maintenance management education, green and sustainability, and a thriving market place for the industry's best products and services.

"We are looking forward to the valuable insights and exciting new contributions that the PRSM Board of Directors will bring to our association.  Each member offers unique industry experience and knowledge that will be an asset to us in reaching the goals of our strategic plan," said PRSM Executive Director Patricia Dameron.

Our Canine Friends

CSS is the proud sponsor of the organization,  Donations for Our Canine Soldiers. This group was developed to help a K-9 unit from Fort Drum, New York. This Army unit is currently serving a tour of duty in Afghanistan. This group has 17 soldier handlers and their dogs. Associates of CSS are helping to supply some of the needs of both soldiers and canines.
